Door lock

Have you ever looked at your door locks and fault are they actually secure, well here’s a few tips to find out. Every insurance approved lock will have a kit mark stamp on it to tell you the level of security inside the lock from 1 star to 3 star, if there is no mark on the lock indicating this it means it’s not a security approved lock, which means it’s more easier to gain entry past the lock.

A well fitted lock should sit flush against the door handle cover on a UPVC door or no more then 3 mm out. If the lock sticks out more then that your leaving your lock vulnerable to a snap lock attack.
